At the Norwood Food Pantry, we want everyone who walks through our doors to feel safe, welcome, and valued. Our pantry works best when clients, volunteers, employees, and families come together with patience, kindness, and respect for one another.

  • A place where people are spoken to with respect; are not subjected to verbal abuse, inappropriate remarks or gestures, or intimidation based on sexual orientation, religious beliefs or spirituality, gender, age, race, national origin, ethnicity, disability, political affiliation, or any other real or perceived differences, including communication styles, physical characteristics, and learning styles; and where religious or political materials are not handed out or distributed.

  • A place where everyone’s personal boundaries are honored, including freedom from sexual harassment and unwanted physical contact.

  • A peaceful space, free from physical abuse, assault, altercations, threats of violence, or threatening or intimidating behavior.

  • A shared community resource where personal and pantry property is respected and protected.

  • A safe setting for all, free from the presence of anyone under the influence of alcohol and/or other substances.

  • A place where weapons of any kind are not permitted.

 

Thank you for doing your part to keep the Norwood Food Pantry a safe, caring, and welcoming place for our whole community. If someone is unable to follow these shared expectations, it may affect their ability to participate in services
provided by the Norwood Food Pantry.
